Zaid Al Rawi leads the Sanctuary team as Chief Executive, having joined in May 2024. Zaid brings 25 years’ experience in financial services, with a career spanning asset management, wealth advisory and private banking. In his current role, Zaid is responsible for leading the teams based in Dubai, Abu Dhabi & Riyadh, driving growth, developing strategy and ensuring best in class advice to our ultra-high net worth, family office and institutional clients.
Zaid’s career began in 1999 with Merrill Lynch in London, advising Middle Eastern family offices on investments and structuring. In 2006, he relocated to Dubai to work as the Sales Director for Barclays Wealth in the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey region. Subsequently Zaid spent over a decade in private equity and real estate, advising investors in the GCC on international investments. In his last role Zaid was Managing Director, MENA for M7 Real Estate and later Martley Capital, where he continues as an advisor.
Throughout his career, Zaid has held various regulated roles, most recently as M7’s Senior Executive Officer for their DIFC entity. He has also held FCA and US FINRA licensing. Zaid graduated from King’s College London with BSc (Honours) in Mathematics & Management.
